I think it is good idea to have "virtual" nodes that display real value of an analog signal
For example VU-meter:
vu-meter
or digital display:
display
The purpose of this node is to present signal level in easy reading form for human. This node will not be uploaded to arduino

That's an interesting idea. I'm trying to avoid too many UI heavy things like this is the first version because I'll eventually have to make a cross platform UI so it works on Linux and Mac and don't want to have too much duplicated effort, but I'll definitely do things like this in version 1.5. It might be nice to have one special form with indicators like this to get an idea of what's going on in the whole project.
