It would be nice to have option to hold down ⇧ Shift and drag MMB to pan the view.

You should be able to just click and drag on an empty part of the editing screen to pan it around. Is that not working?

The problem appreared again. To reproduce: try to paste code in "New code block" in Custom Arduino Node.

I still can't reproduce. Probably what's happening is one of the control, shift, or alt modifiers is getting marked as pressed but the event for release is not firing because the code block has focus, so the modifier is stuck to being set. If it happens again try hitting those keys with the mouse over an empty spot on the node screen so that the "up" event fires. I'll add that to the list of bugs.
